Ubuntu linux wl200 firmware
I have an (old) Evo n610c laptop with a W200 wireless lan interface.
I have loaded ubuntu 11.10, and found that the w200 is being detected using lsmod (orinoco_usb), but I have been unable to activate the interface using <fn><F2>, so I surmise that the firmware is not being downloaded to the module.
I have investigated earlier versions of the orinoco_usb driver and found that the firmware is loaded at start time. dmesg reports that there is no firmware to download.
I have checked out the (older) driver source for the orinoco_usb and the mechanism they employ for retrieving the firmware no longer works.
Is there an alternate source for the firmware?
Thanks in advance.
