UBUNTU blank screen on Lenova G550

Hi every one...

I am having a new Lenova G550 laptop i am trying to install UBUNTU on it when i try to select the option boot from live cd or to install directly, after the selection the screen goes blank.
I connected to the external monitor then i can see the screen and it got booted completely. This is happening only with UBUNTU not with any other linux like FEDORA, KNOPIX etc....
please some one help regarding the issue.........

What Ubuntu version (I assume it's 9.10)?
Do you have an Intel GMA onboard video chip?

If you do, go there for a fix:
and there for the bug report:

Hope that help?
