ubuntu 9.10 netbook remix no mouse clicks on main launcher
 

ok this is very odd. i have installed a freshly downloaded ubuntu 9.10 netbook remix on my micro atx - via C7 1.5Gz with 7" liliput touchscreen.

Yes i know its not a netbook but it seems to work well. nice interface for a touch screen too.

The desktop is the launcher screen and i cannot click or select anything with the pointer (mouse or touch screen). using the keyboard tab key and cursor keys work for selecting icons and launching programs and then the mouse operates normally within what ever program is open.

every time i minimise or close a program im back to the same issue, i cannot left click or right click or drag a select box or double click on the launcher screen. all i can do is move the pointer about.

i have seen very few threads about this issue and no one has any answers. please help LQ.

onboard via graphics and sound
liliput 7" usb vga touchscreen

try installing libts-bin. this package includes a touch-screen calibrator.
