TV-In (s-video) on IBM ThinkPad A31p

Hello everyone.

I own an IBM ThinkPad A31p, running Fedora Core 1.

I would like to use the video input, which is an S-Video connection.

Does anyone know if its supported under Linux?

Thank you.

Possibly, what's the actual video card?

/sbin/lspci

Will give the proper information.

Cheers,

The Gatos drivers, they're a little cumbersome to install, but they work well, at least they have for me and my trusty old Mach64:

http://gatos.sourceforge.net/supported_cards.php

Its installing a whole whopping chunk of X over again, but it'll do the job. Also, the page is a bit out of date, always, so if it says it can't be done "yet", check the downloads section.

Cheers,

The GATOS driver is just an X driver, nothing to do with S-Video input.

The KM driver though is an ATI video capture driver, but doesn't support IBM ThinkPads.

Any other suggestions please? :P
