Question Trackpoint Support


I have an IBM thinkpad A22M and was wondering if anyone knew how to get trackpoint scrolling to work. I found some driver source code but wasn't shore quite what to do with it.... suggestions?Student

Make sure you have these lines in your xf86config file under input device mouse section
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "true"
Option "EmulateWheel" "true"
Option "EmulateWheelButton" "2"
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
Restart x or reboot and it should work for ya.

You might want to go for a newer version of redhat too, ie fedora.

I tried that and it caused my mouse to spazz randomly all over the screen. It actually managed to open a properties window and changed some stuff while moving randomly. Anyway, I exited X and changed the config back from text mode. It looks like I'm gonna have to patch and rebuild the kernel to get support for it.
