Touchpad with Slackware...

Hey I got a DellCPx 650mhz with Slackware 9. And when I just plug in my usb mouse and boot it works fine, but if I dont have it plugged in and boot, it doesnt detect a mouse and I cant use the touchpad (or eraser)

Ive seen other threads say to set my mouse as ps2, how would I do this in slackware?
