touchpad + USB mouse

Hello,
I'm pretty new to linux, using SuSE 9.0.
Everything works just fine except for one thing: I can't get my (PS2) touch pad to work simultaneously with my USB mouse. With the "KDE Control Center" I can enable only one device at a time.
How can I enable them both?

Any help would be gladly appreciated!
tnx, fung
PS: this spell checking feature is great for non-english peeps :-)

Don't take my word for granted, but many laptops have an option in their BIOS (at least VAIOs have) that lets you use simultaneously your touchpad with an external ps2/USB mouse. You may want to check if your laptop has such BIOS option. I wouln't pay much attention to the KDE control center, though (that's just me).
