touchpad "tapping" control

Hi, I'm running fedora core 2 on a Dell Latitude D600.

I'm having a wee problem in that the touchpad, by default, interprets a tap as "mouse-click". I find this hugely irritating and have it turned off when in win xp pro. However there is no option in the mouse preferences in fedora.

Does anyone know if it is possibe to disable this by editing a config file or some other trick?

Similarly is it possible to enable the scrolling funcion at the right hand side of the touchpad?

Thanks
