Toshiba touchpad and keyboard issue
Hi,
I've been searching for hours now to find a solution but no luck. Im using a toshiba m30 notebook w/ slack 9.1 and i just upgraded to the 2.6.1 kernel. The problem is that after I move the mouse w/ my touchpad my keyboard chokes up and delays for a few seconds before spitting out everything, sometime repeating a letter many times. This happens everytime my thumb just slighlty hits the touchpad when typing and does not occur at all when i use my usb mouse. I tried using both the generic driver and the synaptics touchpad driver but neither fix the problem. The problem isn't only in X it occurs before i even start X. In the old 2.4.22 kernel everything worked perfectly with the generic driver. Anyone else have the same problem or know what to do? This is really annoying. |
i have a solution
you have to change something in the kernel sources..

Install this..;;;
Hi.
I had a same same problem as you. I use toshibaM30 with redhat9. I installed tpconfig touchpad driver..get from http://compass.com/synaptics/ and it works good. BTW, I have another problems.. 1. Did you solved tha problem of battery monitor? Even if I installed apmd and acpi, kernel doesn't recognized them... 2. Brightness of monitor.. How did you adjust this? 3. Toshiba function keys....well...:( |
Someone told me to comment out some stuff in psmouse-base.c and that seemed to fix the problem with the touchpad. The latest 2.6.3 supports the toshiba_acpi functions so the screen brightness works fine. I also installed fnfx to get the function keys working. All the acpi battery fucntions seem to work fine. i didn't compile the kernel with apm.
