Toshiba Tecra M1, Slackware10, KDE

I am on a Toshiba Tecra M1, running Slackware 10.0 and KDE. Ever since the install I have not been able to play any type of media. I am working on the video, but right now I am just trying to get my sound working properly. There is NO sound when I try to play any type of music. I'm new at this, so please let me know what information you need if you really feel like helping me out here!

in the terminal try typing alsaconf

This should configure your sound card for ya
