Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000 - Reboot doesn't work

I'm hoping someone can help me get my laptop working.

First, Win2k works fine - shutdown, reboot, hibernate all work perfectly.

Linux is a different story. I've tried APM and ACPI and can't seem to get either to work.

* halt doesn't shut the PC down (but it probably isn't supposed to)
* poweroff works perfectly
* reboot shuts the PC down, blanks the screen, but the power light stays on and it never reboots. I have to reboot the PC (by holding down the power key for 4 seconds) to get it to reboot.

I'm currently usiing RedHat 9.0. I've got a custom kernel running 2.4.22. I've go tthe ACPI updates (dated 2003-09-18) installed. Here's my ACPI output:

# dmesg | grep ACPI

Toshiba Laptop ACPI Extras version 0.16.

ACPI is compiled directly into the kernel.

I'm going to go off now and compile APM as a module so I can switch back and forth as I'm sure you guys will want to try things.

Any help would be appreciated.
