Question Toshiba Satellite laptop's touchpad not working mandrake 10

Hello Experts,
I have installed Mandrake 10 on my Toshiba Satellite Laptop.

Everything installed and configured properly except the touchpad. When I start the xserver ,Im unable to move the cursor using the touchpad .What could be the problem ? Previously I had Mandrake 9 on the same laptop , at that time touchpad was working properly ?

How do I add the support and configure the touchpad ? Which driver to be installed bcos I don’t know the make of touchpad on this Toshiba Satellite laptop.

**Mine is dualboot sytem , I have Windows XP on the primary partition ,
here in the device manager the touchpad has been recognized as PS/2 Compatible Mouse.

What could be the equivalent driver on Mandrake 10?

Plz help me out .

Thx in advance !

Regards,
Swiftguy.

I could solve the problem !

By default Mandrake 10 does'nt provide driver 4 ps/2 mouses (touchpad comes under this category)

I recompiled the kernel with support for ps/2 mouses(included the respective driver)
