Toshiba Satellite

I have an external Backpack 6X CDROM drive, and a Redhat 6.1 installation CD. I was wondering if I would be able to boot with a boot floopy to the installation disk in the drive. The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite T2110CS (486) and only has a built-in floppy. If I did get it to install, would I be able to run X with only 8MB of RAM?

The laptop only has a 36.6 modem in it and the ext. CDROM is parallel.

Any way, the answer is i wouldnt even bother
