Toshiba Notebook, no floppy or CDRom.

I have a Toshiba Notebook. This moddle does not come with a CDROM. It has an external floppy, but it is drad. I have another linux box (2, linux server and a play box). I will remove this 20gig HDD and partition it on my main system, and copy the install files over, I am gust having a problem fighureing out how to get it to boot though. I have a USB flopp that I am borrowing, but I can't seem to boot of it.

Anyways. If someone could, can you please pst a way for me to make a partition bootable so I can then get this notebook working with legal software. :P

Another question is that it is only a 266 Pentium. What is a good distro, that includes a good GUI. I prefere KDE, but I will setle for less. I am rumming Slack 9.2 and Mandrake 2.2. When my main box is a nd working, I will be testing 10.0 Betta2 for Mandrake. I know that Mandrake liles memory, I have only 96MB SD in this notebook, that is all I can put in here.

I am finished blabing, for now. If anyone has any suggestins and/or help for me, I greatly appreate it.

Tnx

Dave B
