Toshiba L300/L300D Series, Problem logging in?

I just got a brand new Toshiba L300/L300D laptop, and I went through the set up, installation etc without problems. Then I was asked for the password which I had entered, and it said it was wrong. I have tried entering it on and off caps lock, but it still won't accept it. I have tried entering 'toshiba' as a backdoor password also. I know that I entered it correctly first time as I gave a password hint and confirmed it, but it still wont work. I have shut the computer down twice too.

Anyone have the same problem or know how to resolve it? Thanks in advance.
