Toshiba A135-S2326 earjack

Please help.

I installed Fedora 7 on my Toshiba A135-S2326 laptop. Everything worked perfect but the earjack for the headphones.

I have dual boot with Vista and the earjack works in Vista.

The speakers do work in Linix!! It is the earjack that does not.

FYI, the earjack works fine under the visita.

I tried two different headphones in the earjack and they both did not work under linux.

The microphone jack is working under linux.. This is very odd.

FYI.. 00:14.2 Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SB450 HDA Audio (rev 01)

Can someone give me step by step instructions on how I can fix this problem. I am still a Linux newbie?

Open a terminal.
Enter

alsamixer

You get a screen full of sliders that are manipulated from the keyboard.
Look for one marked phones and unmute it.
