Unhappy This beginner is still down in a rut

I have completed the whole installation of Slackware 10.2. Now the only problem I am facing is that after I boot it from LiLo the whole process is interrupted by a kernel panic.

The message is as follows:

Kernel Panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 16:02!!

I guess it is sad But I have no clue as to what that means.

If I could receive some sort of help that would be great and very much appreciated.

fdisk -l

I think I got it right

I think this command you had me enter did something right since nothing negative happened.
