As above I have just bought a Thinkpad R51, 2888HA1.
Running Slackware 9.1 install went fine, I am using the bareacpi kernel but I am struggling to get the other features of this machine working.
Working :
my USB thumbdrive (Trandcend Jetflash 32 MB)
my Camera (Mustek GSmart LCD2 <-- Slack 9.1 sees it as a USB drive so easy)
Not yet working: (ie things I want to do
)
ACPI, IR, Wifi, bluetooth, internal modem
ACPI: I am learning that I need to set up each event but I can't find a guide on that
I have googled my head off on the Wifi thing, seems I will have to go to Slack 10 and a 2.6+ kernel to usemy Intel 2200 stuff, ideas appreciated
For the IR, again googling like mad, I haven't found anything usable about this.
Finally, a driver for the internal ac'97 modem
