Hi

after having tried all the possible Linux distros, I had a complete success in installing Mandriva 2008 on my HP Pavillion dv6000 (exactly dv6123eu).

Wireless LAN is not automatically recognized but it takes not so much to make it work. While soundcard works perfectly.

If someone is in trouble with similar machines, just ask me!

Hope to be helpful in someway.

Aloha,
I have the dv6325us and Ubuntu 7.10 works perfectly. Recognizes and installs everything fine including wireless and video card using the Restricted Drivers Manager. I am very happy with mine. Linux Rocks!
