Lightbulb The perfect college/linux laptop?

I've come across an incredible, (so perfect it seems too good to be true) linux-ready line of laptops from ashton digital. Has anyone heard of them? Own one? They say they sell these laptops with a linux ready option in the operating systems available. I'd give you the link, but I can't post one untill I post this message. Vicious cycle!

What ya think? Discuss!

Edit: Here's the link to the specs

I'd research these (at least):

- SiS 651 chipset
- Onboard video (what is it?)
- Onboard sound (ditto).

Search around and see if you can find anything on what may come in it, or even call them. Worst case scenario, you could use the generic "vesa" driver in X, but your video would be less than optimal. The sound and the VIA chipset could go either way until you get more info or find something that says they are supported.

All in all, it looks like a sweet laptop!

I thought I'd read somewhere that the mobile processor couldn't be fully utilised in Linux. And be wary of the "Linux Ready" part, this may mean that there are drivers available for the laptop but not that Linux has been installed/tested.

I also noticed that the notebook isn't on their shop - only the Advance 7, it may be worthwhile contacting them to get firm details.
