Angry the centrino thing isn't working...

Hello all,

It took me three weeks to get a good x enviroment on my laptop.
Now I have a problem with acpi cpu speed:
Whenever I try to lower my speed (echo "6" > /proc/acpi/CPU0/performance)
and than cat it again I don't end up in that 6 state.

Could it have to do with the fact that I don't have acpid?
Haven't found it on the arch cd...

for whatever you'll say thanks!

Greetings from Belgium. Geert.

Centrino is a Windows thing - I don't think it has been ported to Linux.
