Syncing Palm witk Evo in KDE

I have recently installed Suse 9 and has tried to sync my Palm Pilot V with Evolution.
Since I'm using KDE I have run into trouble, the Gnome setup in Suse was not to my liking.
My former system was Red Hat 7.1 with Gnome which was easy to get working.
I have got the impression that Evolution only sync with gpilot.

Have any of you managed to sync palm with evolution using kde?
How?
I get halfway in syncing, then the sync interrupts saying that the connection was lost.
