I have been playing with my Axim to see if i would be able to sync it with my Linux box (mandrake 9.2). Via ttyUSB0 i have the cradle connected. I have hotplug set so It recognizes my PDA. When I place the Axim on the craddle a tail of /var/logs/syslog gives:
Feb 21 09:42:57 <HOSTNAME> kernel: usbserial.c: PocketPC PDA converter detected
Feb 21 09:42:57 <HOSTNAME> kernel: usbserial.c: PocketPC PDA converter now attached to ttyUSB0 (or usb/tts/0 for devfs)
Feb 21 09:43:01 <HOSTNAME> /etc/hotplug/usb.agent: Setup ipaq for USB product 413c/4001/0
Feb 21 09:43:02 <HOSTNAME> /etc/hotplug/usb.agent: Setup 0x00 0x00 0x00 sysnce for USB product 413c/4001/0
so it appears as its recognized. Yet i cannot browse to the PDA nor can i successfully get SYNCE-KDE (v 0.6.1) to acknowledge my hardware. The Axim X5 is supported according to :
http://synce.sourceforge.net/synce/usb_linux.php
NOTE: Kernel 2.4.22-10mdk
ANY input will be helpful. THANKS
