sync problems on Tungsten E

I have FC4 and Tungsten E. I have been using Kpilot to sync them without problem. Resently I have not been able to sync with Kontact. I had changed the resource files for Kontact so I could simply backup the files. I verifed that Kpilot is pointing to the right files but still I cannot get it to sync with my new files. I can sync with the old files. How do I correct this?
