Suspend on ThinkPad T30--X resets
I just upgraded to Mandrake 9.1 and now X frequently resets on resume from a suspend.
With previous installs on this machine (Mandrake 9.0 and Red Hat 8.0) I have had window managers behave strangely after a suspend, but the most recent Mandrake 9.0 install had no problems with suspend.

Isnt there a little window that pops up when you enable suspend features.. saying "These features require the use of ACPI which is not as of yet fully supported by linux... blah blah.. not recommended.. blah blah.. use at own risk..blah. ? There was on mine, that's why I dont use suspend. Just, shutdown instead, its not like it takes THAT long to boot up.

I'm using APM, not ACPI (the Linux implementation of ACPI doesn't support the ThinkPad T30's BIOS, AFAIK).
The machine suspends automatically when I close the lid; I should find out how to disable that feature.

I have the same problem with my T30(2366-92U) and Mandrake 9.1 combination. I think the problem is caused by the video drive. As I used RH 8.0 the screen got weird after resuming from the power saving mode of LCD. So I disabled the power saving mode in the system bios configuration and in kde power control menu as well. With that configuration suspend have worked without problem, i.e, screen was rcovered after suspend. Now power saving mode works ok with bios and kde control enabled but X crashs or being reset almost every time when it resumes from the suspend mode. Very rarely it resumes without resetting X but I don't know how to reproduce the situation.
Dose any body have an idea ?
