hello,
i run suse 9.2 onmy acer aspire 3002 laptop. when trying to work with that laptop using the battery, suse crashes a few seconds after having logged in. this behavior only appears when using the battery, not when being connected to a power socket. as told above, im using suse 9.2 on an acer aspire 3002, ie amd sempron 2800, 512 mb ram, sis760 mainboard (well, something like that) with nearly everything onboard. i do not know anything about the other components ( at least i dont know what to mention too).
i guess there could be aproblem with that autoscale feature of the sempron cpu, but its just a guess, i dont know it really , and i dont know how to tell linux not to use that feature.

the other poblem i have is the configuration of the wlan - card. i think its an broadcom 4300 chip, and i realized the only possibillity to use that with linux i
s to use the ndiswrapper of suse. does anyone know how to configure it properly? i try to go online via a netgear router. as im not familiar with wlannetworking, i dont know how to conntect to that router,too. under winxp, everything worked out of the box, i just had to fill in the networkpassword to go online. how to conntect to the net via that router under linux? is there a possibillity to lsit all reachable wlannetworks under linux?

i am writing this under winxp so i cannot do an dmesg-dump now, but if someone think such a dump or other infos are necessary i could ad them here.
