SuSE 9.0 on a Toshiba 1555CDS
I've had some problems trying to get SuSE 9.0 to run on a Toshiba 1555CDS notebook. It appears to be the PCMCIA controller. It freezes during the install. I was able to get it install by entering "pcmcia=biosirq" as a boot option. However, it would not boot after a reinstall. Presumably, I could have entered the same option every time, but I went back to Red Hat by that point.
I currently have a desktop system running SuSE 9.0 Pro (as usual, it was unable to properly detect my LCD flat screen monitor, and I had to hook up a CRT to complete the install, then run SaX2 to configure it properly).
Anyway, I will soon be going back to my old laptop. Anybody get SuSE 9.0 to run on this model?
