I have Suse 9.0 on my laptop and i cant get my Linksys wirless card to work, has anyone one else gotten it to work?

if so how? I know the card works becuase this laptop dual boots winXP and the card works fine there. i also had the card working in a debian install.

I have a different wireless card, the NetGear MA401, working with debian woody.
Try this web site.

If you included the model of your wireless card perhaps someone else already has it working and can help you.

try this

dmesg > grep "manfid"

edit your /etc/pcmcia/config file add something like

card "Prism Wireless card"
manfid 0x50c2, 0x7300
bind "orinoco_cs"

to the wireless section, using the manfid gleaned from your dmesg (must have card in when you boot for this to work) and trial and error of orinoco, smb and airo chipsets may work for you

I'd try the NDIS wrapper with the windows driver or just download the linuxant drivers (you can use them free for 30 days -- a permanent license costs 19 dollars) . I don't normally want to pay for software on Linux -- but in this case it's worth it as getting Wireless to work on most distros seems problematic anyway.

I'm using the Linksys WPC54G 54g wireless card and it worked both on SUSE 9.0 and 9.1
2 mins install --easy.
