suse 10.3 on acer aspire 3003 lci wireless problems

hello everyone.i hope someboby can tell me what is going on here with my laptop.i installed open suse 10.3 and got my wireless up and running.now everytime i fire it up im always having to reconnect to my wireless network.with windows it was always connected even on reboot.i like the open suse and it sure runs a hell of alot faster than xp or vista in my opinion but having to reconnect to the network is really getting on my nerves.i have tried configuring but that was a no go.i hope someone here can tell me what is going on.besides this problem im pretty impressed.my wireless card is an airlink 101 108 mbps.im not using the broadcom thats built into the laptop.i bought this card sometime back for another laptop i had.thanks in advance for answers.

Lets try this but need info about card and module you are using.
Brand, model, revicsion, and interface connection (USB or Pcmcia)?

Now output on the nic from this command. Assuming pcmcia here.
/sbin/lspci -v

And finally loaded modules.
/sbin/lsmod

Are you using NetworkManager service to handle network connection?

Post info and well go from there.

Brian

Try blacklisting the bcm43xx driver, since you don't use that card anyway.

I don't see why you aren't using the internal card, I have a 3003lci it works great for me with ndiswrapper.

Also, that lspci output seems incomplete.

Forgot to ask for output of /sbin/ifconfig -a
If Atheros based I did not see any info on it in /sbin/lspci -v.
Is it a PCMCIA or USB nic?
Is it using madwifi driver package?
Only reason I ask is I no loaded module ath_pci
