still problems with sis 7012

hello,
i know that this is already many times posted but I still have problems with my sis 7012 soundcard. (i tried almost everything on the posts)

I still don't have sound on my red hat, some data:

my modules loaded (with modprobe)
Module Size Used by Not tainted
i810_audio 27592 0 (unused)
ac97_codec 14600 0 [i810_audio]
sound 74548 0 (unused)
soundcore 6404 4 [i810_audio sound]
sis900 16780 1

I compiled my own kernel (2.4.21 treid also with 2.4.18-9)
set on (modules) sound support, sis 7012 and oss, have i done wrong?

i saw a thread where thay said that jou had to change in rc.modules but what if you don't have that?

hope to get a reply

I hope my english isn't to bad:D

is that the response you get if you type modprobe i810_audio?

and is it listed in /etc/modules?

my modules.conf

in my modules.conf i wrote (a bit messy because I'm testing)

[brecht@laptop brecht]$ cat /etc/modules.conf
alias eth0 sis900
#alias usb-controller usb-ohci
#alias usb-controller1 ehci-hcd
#alias ieee1394-controller ohci1394
#alias usb-controller usb-ohci
#alias usb-controller1 ehci-hcd
#alias usb-controller usb-ohci
#alias usb-controller1 ehci-hcd
#alias sound i810_audio
alias soundcore
alias sound
alias ac97_codec
alias sound-slot-0 i810_audio
#post-install sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -L >/dev/null 2>&1 || :
#pre-remove sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc -S >/dev/null 2>&1
|| :

I don't know if that's wright, if I start and I don't modprobe the modules myself I get

[root@laptop root]# lsmod
Module Size Used by Not tainted
sis900 16780 1

just my ethernet card is insert

if I insert the other modules with modprobe it works to insert them but now sound
