pretty much at the beginning of the boot process, there comes a message that says something to be effect of 'press I to enter interactive mode' do that - you should have your finger on the key so you can press it on time. Then it will ask you whether you want to load/start this and that. Say yes each time but No to pcmcia. This way, you'll get past that thing.
Once you are up and running, go to mandrake control center -> system ->drakxservices and disable pcmcia from starting at boot time.
