sound card and graphics card not recognized by debian ...
Hello,
I am new to linux, i would like my sound card to be recognized... When i use some software where sound is required, an alert box informs me the file representing the soundcard dosn't exist. my sound system is : # fabricant : Système son Toshiba Bass Enhanced et SRS TruSurround XT™ # supported audio format : 16-bit stereo # speakers : stéréo speakers Harman/Kardon # microphone : External # model : Realtec ALC 250 # max frequency : 48 kHz # full duplex support : yes # direct sound : yes # direct 3D sound : yes # volume spin : yes my graphic system is : # fabricant : ATI # model : MOBILITY™ RADEON™ 9700 # video memory : 128 Mo # memory type : DDR RAM # bus frequency : 400 MHz # connected bus : AGP 8x i get strange lags when using more sophisticated themes with gnome or kde... i beleive it's using my graphics card as SVGA card and not using it to it's full capacities ? it's running on a toshiba P30-135 laptop. thank you in advance for your help. |
The Linux on Laptops site has several P-30 models listed. You might begin there.
