hello everyone,
well, i was looking through my closet the other day, and i found my old sony laptop, an r505ts laptop. i decided i would install linux on it and put it to some good use, BUT problem is all i found was the AC adapter. the machine itself doesnt have any drives on it except for the internal hard drive, and a sony magicgate slot for memorstick media.

any suggestions on how i can go about getting linux on this machine...?? i was trying to reasearch doing a network boot/install but i didnt quite understand what i found on networkbooting. since the machine has no drives. i figure this might be the only way to get it going but im a newbie and dont really know where to begin.

anyone have any suggestions...??

one way to go would be to take the drive out. Get an adapter for it. Put it in another computer and...bob's your uncle!!
