Some Problems with IBM ThinkPad T22
Morning!
After a big fight with my Windows XP ... I took a radical step back to Linux. I have been using it for some time on one of my WorkStations...and now I put it on my Laptop.
Ok, so far so good. I installed Fedora Core 4 on the system.
Hardware:
ThinkPad T22
Pentium IIIm - 900 MHz
512 MB
60 GB HDD
DVD-RW (NEC 6500)
Savage IX
Here my Problems:
1) I can't get the sound to work.
Auto-detect found the right soundcard, but there is no sound.
2) I am still facing the "UltraBay" Problem and I did't find a way to solve that.
What is the UltraBay Problem? Well the ThinkPads can swap the Optical Drive with a Battery or other devices.
I can't get that to work.
3) If I go to the TTY1 or any other Console for that matter all I have is a bunch of colores and patterns mixed together...wtf?! - But this seems to be a more popular problem...I could live without a solution for this.
ok that's it for now...
I really could use some help here.
thx
Darius
