And now NOTHING WORKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dont get any farther than the splash screen. I choose the option I want, and the screen goes blank. It never starts Linux, goes to shell. It doesnt do crap. Can someone help me? My Windows doesnt boot either now, so if I cant get this fixed, Im screwed with a computer I cant do anything with.

so does linux go to the shell? i'm slightly confused by this line:

if it does go to the shell, do you need to install new video drivers or something? also have your tried to reinstall lilo or grub so you can boot into windows?

I can get into windoze at least now. It never gets any farther then the blank screen right after the splash screen. No prompt or anything, even it text mode. Does someone know how to fix this?
I tried reinstalling LILO but to no avail
