sleep / suspend / hibernate on Toshiba laptop (satellite 2410)

Hello. I am running Mandrake 10.1 on a Toshiba laptop (satellite 2410).
I cannot figure out from reading everything I can find how to make sleep / suspend / hibernate work.
Has anyone done this?
Do you remember the detailed steps?
