Red face Shared IRQ 9

[OT?]

Hi all,
I'm the owner of a ASUS L8400C notebook computer that uses an Intel 82371AB/EB PCI<->USB controller and a Ricoh R/RL/5C476(II) PCI<->PCMCIA controller. I'm using Linux RH9 for serious work and Windoze XP for audio apps.
I have troubles connecting a PCMCIA professional audio card (Echo Indigo) to my system (cracks and pops at any latency and/or configuration...): I've noticed that on my notebook both the USB controller and the PCMCIA one share he same interrupt (9) . This is true for both Linux and Windoze... I have make a quick test with pcmcia.conf but it doesn't help...
I have tried also to free some IRQs removing some devices like parallel and serial port (using the bios) but with no success.

I know that it not strictly a Linux question (my card is unsupported under ALSA :-(( but official dealers are simply ignoring my emails. Hope that someone here has the right idea

Thank you for your help
Luigi
