set up the communication between Palm Pilot and thinkpadt30 slackware12

I'd searched for that but I found nothing to do it on a Slackware machine...

How can I set up the communication between palm pilot (Hanrdera 330) and thinkpad t30 slackware12.

By the way, had anybody heard some thing about an Linux for the palm pilot hardware upto OS 3.5 /4.0 ?

Pre thanks for any information

Ok I use the console but also JPilot

I had forgott that the connection between these both should be an IR.

The connection over /dev/ttyS0 is properly.

my script now
Code:
bash-3.1$ cat scripts/irda.sh
#!/bin/sh
#irda-config for Palm upto OS4.1
#at first you have to install ir-utils check
#http://slackbuilds.org, search for"ir-utils".
#After that I run the script as boot with /etc/rc.d/rc.local/
setserial /dev/ttyS1 uart none
#setserial -a /dev/ttyS1
modprobe ircomm_tty
modprobe nsc-ircc io=0x2f8 irq=3 dma=3
irattach irda0 -s
echo 115200 > /proc/sys/net/irda/max_baud_rate
chmod 666 /dev/ircomm0
