seeking "tablet aware" features and applications

Every "laptop" has features and applications that happily work with a mouse pointer and a keyboard.

Some laptops are also considered a "tablet". They may have a mouse and keyboard, but they also have a stylus-pointer and might even have a touchScreen-pointer.

One clear "tablet" feature involves digital ink. One drags the stylus around an application. The app collects the dots as if one were writing on paper. xournal is a fine example of a digital ink application. While one can use a mouse to make the dots, the stylus feels exactly like pen&paper and thus is uniquely "tablet."

Given the digital ink paradigm, most of the drawing and sketching applications are then candidates as "tablet" applications.

Another clear "tablet" feature, when touch is available is movement from page to page with the flick of a finger. One might also do this with a stylus. This gesture lends itself to a "turn the page" behavior within book reader applications.
(I'm still looking for a good book-reader application.)

Please add your ideas about (1) tablet features, and (2) applications that use those features.

Merci d'avance,
~~~ 0;-Dan
