Screen flickers with fglrx + Fedora 8

Hey guys i have an issue thats pissin me off and im not very experienced with linux so i cannot figure it out myself yet so i thought i was going to get some help.

anyways, after i installed the fglrx driver for my ati X1400, everythng works, i get around 4500-5000FPS but once in a while my screen just flickers its as if the refresh rate is incorrect and it misses a beat. It did it twice as i write this and it only lasts for an instance.

i have used FC6 in the past and same issue occured but my wireless didnt wor as well so i kinda gave up with linux. Now i tried Fedora 8 and same thing happens but wireless works and i will try to learn as much as i can about this OS. kinda like it.

if someone could help me out id appreciate it. Thanks alot guys!
