I have been asked to put Linux on a Samsung N130 Netbook for someone new to Linux.
I'd like one which will work with the Samsung's wireless network straight away with no need for lengthy configuration.
Would Mageia be good to try please? Thanks
There is no problem at all with the wifi which is found automatically. You will notice that this review gives MX-14.4 10 out of 10 for hardware recognition.
I have heard of Mageia having wifi problems but I have not used it recently.
I had some problems with getting Antix onto a stick, but managed Lubuntu via Yumi Multiboot USB which recognised my wifi straight away even though Core2Usb and Ubuntu via DVD didn't!
Thanks anyway
Andy
