Sabayon speed up boot process
 

Hi there,

Recently installed Sabayon and would like to speed up the boot process. Running KDE which of course isn't too fast itself. When I wished to do this in Ubuntu I found many tutorials about choosing which processes run on startup. Can anyone point me in the right direction of something like this?

Also noticed that Portage is very slow compared to the apt-get I am used to. I thought that Sabayon was a binary based version of Gentoo?
