Right click on the touchpad will highlight selected text but no drop down menu of action options.
It was working fine until yesterday. The only thing of substance that I have done that might possibly have affected it is that I removed all traces of bluetooth.
@frankbell: I haven't had a mouse in at least 10 years I'm trying to find an appropriate command to get in and take a look/amend the settings for the touchpad. They seem to be missing in the GUI.
I should add that when I use the Test Your Settings feature, my right tap is responding as a left tap.

I suppose it depends on what sort of things you usually do on your computer. In my case I almost never need very precise positioning of the cursor. If I was doing CAD or other detailed graphics, it would be different I'm sure.
I'll see if I can borrow a mouse tomorrow and run a test. Thanks.
