RH ent. WS sound troubles

Ok...I installed Red Hat Enterprise WS on my laptop. On bootup...it freezes when trying to start the PCMCIA. I read previous posts to turn PCMCIA off. How can I do this when booted in rescue mode? I have literally no command line skills and might need a walkthrough. Thanks for any help in advance.

PCMCIA: fixed/ Sound: non-existant

I got past the PCMCIA problem. I had to plug in a USB keyboard to get it to type before loading certain drivers...some weird error. This allowed me to do an interactive boot up and select not to load PCMCIA. I then disabled it in the services. Unfortunately, now my sound card does not work.

The error is as follows:

The trident driver could not be loaded. This soundcard may not be compatible with Red Hat Linux.

The specs as listed by Linux are:

Vendor: ALi Corporation
Model: M5451 PCI AC-Link Controller Audio Device
Module: trident

On the shutdown...I notice this as it marks it as failed:

module sound-slot-0
modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module sound-service-0-0
aumix: error opening mixer

This works on Fedora when it is installed on the laptop yet Fedora overheats it within 45 minutes...ent. WS does not. Would the "trident" module be found on the RedHat CDs?
