RH 9.0 question's related to Dell Inspiron 5150
Hello,
I've 2 questions related to Red Hat 9.0 installation in Dell Inspiron 5150 laptop. Asking at a stage before attempting to install it, as I've heard mixed info. on the allocation of space by Dell utils. OS Installation I see that in my hard-drive, out of total size of 40GB, more than 2GB of space is allocated to all rescue utilities of Dell ! I confirmed this with their tech support and they said, that's the way it is. They're in the initial segments of the hard-disk. If I got about installing RH 9.0, will it give me the classic error message of "1024 cylinder's" ? Has anyone been successful in installing in this mode as I've to allocate space for RH, after what's allocated for XP Pro. D-Link Wireless Card[ 650+ ] Does this work with RH9.0. Do I need to do some extensive research and coding to make it work. Appreciate your inputs. Thanks. Kramer. |
Try this guy:
