Resume from apm suspend on IBM TP X21

Well, APM suspend works okay after I changed from the default ACPI on SuSE 9.1. It's the resume that's killing me. I used YAST2 to have it shut down PCMCIA and X before suspend. It worked once or twice, after about 30 seconds. But it's never worked again. Now it comes back up, screen all jacked up, but it never comes back to normal.

I'm using the stock SuSE 9.1 2.6 Kernel.

Thoughts?

Figured out the source

Silly bunt.

Should have tried this in the first place. It's the PCMCIA card. Should have know. It's been goofy from the get-go and the drivers are kind of crappy. It's an atmel 3com 3CRWE62092B , was a royal pain to get installed in the first place and still doesn't work particularly well. I shouldn't be surprised.

I take out the card and suspend and resume works perfectly.

I must be getting lazy now that I have a real job that requires actual work.

I'm playing with the PCMCIA eject strings in /etc/sysconfig now.
