Restore sled10 sp1

Hi
I am using the Acronis True Image Echo Enterprise Server ( Windows and Linux servers) to create an image for the sled10sp, I did created the image then I restored it the image on different laptop (same hardware both nc6400), after restoring it, it is not booting because for the sled10sp1 when i creates the partitions it will use the devise id instead of devise id, i fixed as following steps:

1.boot up the linux dvd and i chose the rescue system.
2.log in as rooot.
3.do the fdisk -l to see where is the root is mounted (it is mounted /dve/sda1 / )
4.then mount -t ext3 /dev/sda1 /mnt

5. cd /mnt because i am using the sled10sp1 in the /boot/grub/menu.lst the /dev/disk/disk-d/scsi-SATA_Hitachi_HRS5416_SB3-204SGCJLJ9e-part1 so i changed /dev/sda1 (because the /dev/sda1 is mounted on / ).

6.i did the same thing in the /etc/fstab then i changed the /dev/disk/disk-d/scsi-SATA_Hitachi_HRS5416_SB3-204SGCJLJ9e-part1 to the /dev/sda1 /

when i reboot i will get the msg:
loading jbd
loding ext3
resume device /dev/sda2 not found(ignoring)
waiting for device /dev/sda1 to appear... input:PS/s gneeric mouse as /class/input3
.................not found -- exiting to /bin/sh

still i wont boot , can someone tell me what went wrong, many thanks.

Check the /boot/grub/device.map file. If that needs to be updated,
you'll also need to update the menu.lst file.

You might want to make the updates on the original laptop so it
doesn't point to the original devices for either the hard drive(s)
or the network card(s).
