Removing Linux

I just got a laptop for my old man and it came with Lipus Linux basic V9.1 My old man harldy knows how to use windows and putting him on a new system (Linux) will just not work. I would like to put Win XP on the laptop and delete everything that is currently on there. Can someone help me with this!

Cheers.:D

Use Linux. Learn Linux. Your "old man" can learn Linux. Don't even mention removing Linux and installing winduz on this forum!

And, anyhow, just install XP from its CD,, and let it format the hard drive. Linux is not relevant for an XP installation since the XP install will reset the HD partition tables.

I suggest you a different way.
Why don't you try to keep linux and windows on the same machine.
Use partition magic to create another partition for your windows, install it there.
Just keep linux on your machine so that you can have an alternative when you feel bored with window
