remotely installing linux

I have a Fujitsu lifebook (Pseries) which has only windows XP on it and has only one partition. It has no CD or floppy drive. I hate it that my laptop is imprisoned in windows. Is there any way to boot my laptop from another computer with a CD drive, and install Linux on it( so I have a dual boot machine)? I dearly appreciate any help. Thanks in advance for your time.

If your network card supports PXE, you could perform a network boot. Alternatively, you could try performing a USB boot if you have a jumpdrive using something like Feather Linux. I've used a jumdrive to boot Feather and jump that to a Gentoo install.

Thanks. I know my network card supports PXE. I'll google how to do these things and will email back if I have more problems. Thanks again.
