Lightbulb Redhat7.3 couldn't probe my monitor.


I recently intall the redhat linux 7.3 into my laptop Toshiba Satellite 1410,but it couldn't probe my monitor,so I couldn't enter the X-windows.How can I do?Anyone could help me? Thanks very much!

As root, type Xconfigurator (or is it XConfigurator? It's a long time since I used RH). This will allow you to set it manually.
Select generic laptop display 1024 x 768 at first. You will also have to select which graphics card you have, and also the video memory.

I did.But it failed!Because I didn't know the monitor's tpye.

The point is....you don't need to know if you use generic lcd settings.
